I am reading his book The Ode Less Travelled: Unlocking the Poet Within. I knew he was intelligent,  witty but somehow I didn’t expect a serious book of substance. Shows you how wrong you can be huh?

Well it’s going slowly surprise, surprise!  I do have a good reason for starting later than I thought.  I have been doing a CELTA course (learning to teach English as a foreign language).  This turned out to be a lot more intense than I had expected.  It lasted the whole of June so I have not really done any writing for a bit.  I am ready to get going now though – with renewed vigour.

There is plenty to talk about.  Just think about one area – politics.  In the space of 2 weeks we are leaving the EU, getting a new Prime Minister (yes a woman), and watching the Labour Party disintegrate in front of our very eyes.  Plenty of material there.

The idea of this learning log is to keep ideas thoughts etc throughout the course about how the learning experience is going.

I am also doing a journal everyday with ideas,  which I will draw on when writing assignments.

I have never done this before so bear with me please.
